The Work of the Group!
Hello! We have all been in group projects. We know that it can either go SUPER well or SUPER bad. However, I was lucky enough that my group was really good and are hard workers. So let's get straight to it and let me explain what everyone did.
As for me, I feel that I did my part and worked hard to make this project become what it is. Although Desire had the initial idea of a girl who acts like someone she is not, one day I kind of made a more specific visual of how it was going to look, Such as the party, the friends, the questions, the flashbacks, and the finale. As a group, we then started to shape and mold the idea to an even better thing. When doing the storyboard, I wrote the notes for one of the papers just as everyone else did. I contributed to how some of the shots would move and the sounds. For filming days I provided one of the locations which was the backyard party. During filming I would give feedback to Alexa and help her figure out what exact height or angle we should have the camera, and I would give Desiree feedback on some of the ways we can make the scene more dramatic or real in some cases. As for post production, I was in every call helping Alexa and providing her feedback with Desiree about what we should or shouldn't do or have in the video. Lastly, I did create our final title after many tries of attempting to make one with Alexa. Overall, I feel that I did my part.
Alexa was a tremendous part of this project since she provided many things, whether it be equipment or skill. She provided us with a good camera, editing software, and her bathroom for one of the scenes. Alexa wasn't initially supposed to be in our group and she asked if she could join us and we accepted her gladly, because we know the hard worker she is. I have worked previously with Alexa in other Cambridge projects so I felt comfortable working with her again. She helped create the storyboard with us and always gave us a laugh because she would start to laugh at Desiree’s magnificent work. She was our director and would always make sure the shots were right. In post production she really pulled us through. She was the editor since she had the program we were going to use, Imovie. She figured her way about the program and cut shots that thought we didn't need as much as others. She has always been active in the group chat and making sure everything is going smoothly. Moreover, she helped me a lot with the first three title designs and gave me her feedback when making them. Overall, Alexa was wonderful to work with and she was a great editor and director.
Next, we have our lovely star Desiree and her amazing acting skills. As I said before Desiree came up with the very first idea of a teenage drama and the girl who seems to be someone who she is not. She volunteered to do the acting, which she did really well in my opinion for someone who doesn't practice it. She helped with the storyboard a lot since she was one that drew all the shots as we provided her with what would be in each shot. She was also very active in the groupchat and always giving her feedback and when she was available in the calls. On filming days, she did great and had patience with us as we were giving her feedback on how to move and what to say. She was a trooper for crying many times on our first day of filming. On the second day of filming she was also great and patient. In post production she joined most calls or would text in the groupchat. She helped me give feedback to Alexa about the editing process. When making the title she gave us her opinions and thoughts. Now she is drawing our updated storyboard, which will come out soon. It was a pleasure to work with such a star. :)
Last but not least, we have Kimora. Kimora was also a great member to have in our group. She helped a lot at molding the idea of the film and what we should or shouldn't have. She helped us do the last details of the storyboard. On filming days she was very present and active. On the first day she helped provide feedback to Alexa about how the shot should look and helped us get the prop of lipgloss by driving back to her house. On The second day of filming she was also very helpful as she controlled the extras and gave us good energy so that everyone could be happy and more comfortable working on scenes. In post production, she wasn't as active however, whenever she could she would provide feedback on the video along the way and the title designs. Overall, she was a great member to have as she would always keep the spirits and energy high for everyone.
All in all, I am very pleased with my group and how we worked together. I have known all of the girls since middle school, so we all felt comfortable working with one another. I also have to say that Kimora and Desiree remained very mature and professional since they did have issues in their friendship, but both remained doing their work and acting cordially, so I do thank them for that. I hope you have a great day and that your group projects go as well as this one.
