The Final Day of Editing!

 

We finally finished our project! Today I am going to talk about our last day of editing and the final touches we had to make. 

We had our last filming day on March 17th. Unfortunately, not that many people were able to join the last day of editing because it was the first day of spring break therefore, people were going on vacation. Instead, Alexa and I focused on editing. The day prior Alexa and I were trying to design the title and telling our group what they think. Then we started to play with the title in the video. However, our original idea of having the title across Desiree’s eyes was not looking good nor clean. It took us several tries to figure out what we wanted to do. We took a break from that and started to focus on the details of the audio. Kimora and I previously talked about adjusting the heartbeat audio, so Alexa and I focused on that. I said if we can have the audio be slower and faded at the beginning and then continue to get louder and more rapid. After the knock on the dorr it would go back down and fade away. We also fixed the melancholy music at the end because it seemed too loud. We decided to fade in slowly right as the heartbeat was fading away. This way it didn't seem that the music was coming out of nowhere and was gradually arriving. When Alexa was editing this, I decided to go on Canva and make a new idea for the title. I started playing around and accepted the fact that our original idea was not going to work. I decided we could just add it after Desiree turns off the lights. I started playing around and eventually got it. I had two different versions and asked some people for their opinion. We finally got our title! Once Alexa finished fixing the audio changes she added the title and everything was perfect! We sent the final video to our other members and they enjoyed it as well.

There you go, that was our final day of editing! I am very happy how everything turned out and SO HAPPY that we figured out the title design. [Come in next week and I will reveal the actual title :)] Have a great day and see you next time.
