The End :)
Hi and welcome back to one of the last blog posts. I know it's sad. :( Today I will be talking about my overall feelings throughout this project.
First of all I must give credit to my wonderful group as they did make this process enjoyable and fun to do. They supported my decisions and were just a joy to be around while doing this project. I love that everyone’ ideas, skills, or talents were able to go through when filming this project.
In Pre production, I had a great time as little by little we saw our idea and story get bigger and more real. Choosing our costumes, locations, actors, actresses, props, etc. was great to organize and think about.
During Production, it was a bit more of a struggle as we did have to change dates and see if everyone could go. Moreover, changing the time frame of our film due to sun setting and lighting. Those days were a little bit more stressful as we were trying to get all of our filming done in the two days without having any extra reshoots. However, with that stress, I still had a fun time seeing Alexa work the camera, Desiree acting, and Kimora and I trying to organize everyone, make sure the shots were good, and giving everyone their lines.
Then we went to post production. Post production was done via group chat and group calls. I was kind of sad I could not do the editing as I do like to play around with that however, Alexa did have the editing software we wanted and the camera so we believed it to be the easiest to transport clips from her camera to computer. When seeing Alexa editing it was nice to see what was possible and what was not, such as our title sequence. That was a bit more stressful however, once we found out how the title was going to look like it was a great relief and success.
Overall, I am very happy with how our final project came out. From seeing the very small idea to a full 2 minute video is insane, but rewarding. And the fact that we realized how much time this 2 minute video took to make, makes me appreciate the film and filming in general even more. I am sad that the end is here but very proud of what my group and I have accomplished! Video coming out soon!
